Self French Learning
Learn French step by step — a free web app with structured A1 lessons and interactive exercises, built while settling into life in Canada
Project details
Overview
Self French Learning — As a newcomer to Canada, I started learning French and built this free web project to make the process more interactive and enjoyable. It is a personal experiment: structured lessons and exercises you can work through at your own pace, starting at A1.
The goal is not to replace professional courses, but to offer a simple, practical way to learn and practice French step by step while I improve my own skills and grow the content over time.
Key features
- Structured lessons organized for beginner learners starting at A1
- Interactive exercises to practice what you learn in each section
- Free and accessible — no paywall, built for personal and community use
- Step-by-step progression designed for newcomers building confidence in French
- Expandable content — more levels and topics planned as the project grows
Technical focus
Built with Next.js as a lightweight web experience focused on clarity, practice flow, and room to add lessons over time. The project doubles as a way to sharpen frontend skills while working toward a real personal goal: feeling more comfortable with French in Canada.
